About
Reader. Librarian. PWS. Dreamer.
Jade T. Woodridge was born in Naples, Italy to military parents and lived between Sardinia, Sicily, and Washington D.C for the first 8 years of her life. In addition to volcanic ash from the 1999 Mt. Etna eruption that rained down on her childhood home, Jade holds on to many pleasant memories. Her life over seas has greatly impacted how she views people and the world (and her taste in music!).
A lifelong story teller and an owner of five different library cards as a child, it was no surprise that Jade would pursue a Bachelor's in English Literature (Seton Hill University, 2016) and a Master's in Library and Information Sciences shortly after (University of Maryland, 2020). She has been working as a public librarian in the state of Michigan since 2018. Through her career so far, Jade has gotten to meet and host the likes of Angeline Boulley, Sarah Gailey, Etaf Rum, Bernice L. McFadden, James Patterson, Rebecca Kuang, and more.
While Jade reads and listens to a number of different genres and topics, she tends to write in the speculative realm of low Science Fiction/Fantasy. Romance and Drama follow close behind!
*Jade is part of the 1% of the adult population that stutters, and is a National Stuttering Association chapter leader. For more information about stuttering and people who stutter (PWS), please visit www.westutter.org

Tia Gray has a plan:
🗹 Make good grades,
🗹 Attend Mom and Dad's alma mater,
🗹 Major in a STEM field just like Mom and Dad,
☐ Meet and fall in love with a successful, powerhouse,
black University elite— just like Mom and Dad.
At least, that's the plan everyone expects, and what outlined ad nauseam in the volumes of notebooks that line her room. But Tia doesn't know what she wants or who she is. All she knows is that falling in love with her screwed up best friend, William— more artist than scientist, dreamer than realist, white rather than black— is NOT part of it. Having his baby, putting college on hiatus, and building a future with him in the country are DEFINITELY not part of the plan, either!
